How we made the movie on the left:
We used HandyAvi to make 9 1000-frame AVI files at 30 minute intervals using a
Meade 10" LX-200 telescope and a 2x Barlow lens. Then we used RegiStax to
process each of the 9 AVI movie files and create one bmp file for each AVI movie
file. We then used JASC Animation Shop 3 to create a GIF movie from the 9
bmp files. You are looking at the GIF movie to the left above. Note
that atmospheric "seeing" conditions changed over time so that some of the 9
images are better than others.
